5 Ways to Make the Most of Evolve

Evolve Workplace

So you’re coming to work at Evolve Workplace. Welcome! We’ve got some tips and suggestions for how you can make the most of Evolve as your new workspace (these might be helpful for our longtime members as well).

Whether you’ve got a private office or you’re just grabbing a desk, here’s how you can get the most out of Evolve.

1. Get to Know the Space

We’ve got a lot of space at Evolve. Get to know it. You don’t have to stay in your office or stick to one table. There’s plenty of room to spread out.

Swing by the kitchen for a quick snack. Stop at the copy center to do your printing. Kick back in the hammock if you need to rest your eyes. Take a break in the game room for some foosball. Even if you just need to stretch your legs, there’s lots of room to take a walk and get the blood flowing (indoors if the weather isn’t cooperating or across the street if it is).

2. Introduce Yourself

One of the benefits of a coworking space is the chance to network with fellow entrepreneurs. So say hello. Introduce yourself and tell people what you do. This isn’t a high pressure networking event, so keep it low key. Sometimes it’s just fun to hear what your neighbor down the hall is doing.

Take it a step further and follow them on social media or subscribe to their email. It’s a good way to keep up on what they’re doing (plus, it will help you remember their name!).

As a bonus, we’re always looking to highlight Evolve members. So tell us what you do.

3. Spend Time in Common Areas

You come to Evolve to get your work done, so it’s understandable that folks want to put their heads down, shut the door, and get it done. No problem.

But sometimes serendipitous encounters happen when we open the door and shake up the routine. Hang out in the common areas. Have lunch with a fellow office mate. Getting away from work can give your brain a break and allow you to return refreshed.

4. Take Advantage of the Perks

Evolve Workplace is more than just a desk where you work. There are a number of perks of membership, so make sure you’re taking advantage of them.

  • Printer: You get a generous printing allowance, way cheaper than the local copy center.

  • Conference room: Most memberships come with free conference room hours, so grab a space for your next meeting.

  • Drinks: We’ve got water, tea, and coffee available. Plus there’s a vending machine in the kitchen.

  • Other locations: Members get three free days at partner coworking spaces around the country.

5. Be a Good Neighbor

Nobody likes an obnoxious or sloppy roommate. Be considerate of your neighbors. Use headphones when you’re listening to music. Keep your voice down on calls or find a more private location. Clean up after yourself.

See you around the office!
