Check Out Local Community With Explore West St. Paul Days

The second annual Explore West St. Paul Days community celebration is coming in June. This is an opportunity to explore the local community in our own backyard. 

Here’s a rundown of this year’s events:

Thursday, June 8

5-8 p.m. - City Open House: Head over after work for free food and a chance to network with city departments and local organizations. Plus police and fire demonstrations. It’s just down the street at city hall (1650 Humboldt Avenue).

Friday, June 9

5:30-9:45 p.m. - Party at the Sports Complex: A series of events kick off on Friday after work, including food trucks, a K-9 demo, Good for Gary concert, and fireworks. It’s also just down the street at the Sports Complex (1650 Oakdale Avenue).

Saturday, June 10

10:30 a.m. - Parade: The annual parade is shifting to the morning and will run north along Charlton Street ending at Harmon Park.

12-3:30 p.m. - Art and Environmental Fair: After the parade, come to Harmon Park (230 Bernard Street West) for arts and green-friendly activities and information.

2-6 p.m. - El Destino Market & Clothesline Laundromat Event: It’s a party in the parking lot with performances, food, free washes, kids’ activities, and more at 1834 Oakdale Avenue.

2-6 p.m. - ROCC Climbers Kids Connection: The local community group Residents of Color Collective is hosting an afternoon for kids with art, dance, poetry, games, food, and more at the Sports Complex (1650 Oakdale Avenue).

6-10 p.m. - Concert: Food trucks, beer tent, and PopROCKS concert at the Sports Complex (1650 Oakdale Avenue).

Sunday, June 11

8:30 a.m. - West St. Paul Rider: A community bike ride starting at Garlough Park (1740 Charlton Street) with a 4-mile short route and a 20-mile long route.
