One of the great things about coworking is interacting with other businesses and organizations. So say hello to some of your fellow coworkers at Evolve. This month we’re highlighting three organizations: Bann Business Solutions, Amethyst Recovery Solutions, and MSP Plumbing, Heating & Air.

Bann Business Solutions

Mike Bann has a long history in marketing. Bann Business Solutions has been around for more than 25 years, but their roots actually go back 85 years to when Bann's grandfather started Bann Printing.

But that doesn’t mean they’re old school: “We differentiate ourselves by beginning and ending all offerings with our data capabilities,” Bann said. That focus on data translates to effectiveness as they serve both local and national clients in the home services industry.

“If there is anything in the world of marketing or print please don't hesitate to ask,” said Bann.

Why Evolve: "Evolve's West St. Paul location was five blocks from where I grew up and five minutes from my golf course," said Bann. "Evolve has proven to be a great choice."

Amethyst Recovery Solutions

Founded five years ago, Amethyst Recovery Solutions is a nonprofit that supports people recovering from substance use disorder. They help with housing assistance, peer support, events, overdose awareness, and more. We’ve even hosted one of their events at Evolve.

They know what works from experience: “Between the four founders, we have a total of roughly 44 years of recovery,” said Derek Johnson.

Amethyst Recovery is always looking for volunteers, so sign up if you’re interested in helping.

Why Evolve: “Close to our facilities and employees, meeting spaces, great option while our office is being finalized,” Johnson said.

MSP Plumbing, Heating & Air

Since 1918, MSP Plumbing, Heating & Air has offered home service solutions in the Twin Cities. Across all types of home systems, they focus on customer comfort. 

“Every member of our team works hard, trains passionately, and looks for ways to improve and get better every day,” said General Manager Dave Napier.

Why Evolve: With a new Woodbury headquarters on the way and having sold their Grand Avenue location, MSP Plumbing, Heating & Air temporarily moved their call center to Evolve so they wouldn’t disrupt operations during their peak cooling season.

But MSP Plumbing, Heating & Air has been at Evolve longer. When they lost the parking lot they used for 30 years to host team meetings, they had a problem. “As you can imagine, it takes a large parking lot to park more than 40 service vans!” Napier said. They couldn’t host company gatherings in their own building, so they reached out to Evolve.

“We've been renting conference rooms ever since,” said Napier. “We are extremely grateful that a business like Evolve Workplace exists!”
